River Hawk ReviewThe River Hawks were handed a 12-1 loss at Harvard their last time out. The Crimson offense was held at bay for nearly the first 13 minutes, but then used a string of goals to go into half with a 5-0 lead.
Taylor Sokol (Hopkinton, Mass.) tallied her 11th goal of the season, and
Courtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt.) made 13 saves.
The Price is WrightWith 11 goals in her last seven games,
Emily Wright (Avon, Conn.) now leads the team with 18 goals. She has recorded three hat tricks in those games, and has five multi-goal games this season.
Jumping for JayJay leads the River Hawks with 26 points and 12 assists, her 14 goals rank second on the team. She has recorded at least one point in 13 games, and has seven multi-point games.
Protecting the NestBarrett leads the America East and is third nationally with 166 saves. Her 10.38 saves per game also lead the conference, and rank fourth in the nation. She also has team-highs in ground balls (56) and caused turnovers (23). Barrett is also averaging 3.50 ground balls per game to lead the America East and rank fourth in the nation.
Beginning of a New EraIn its first year of competition, UMass Lowell's roster consists of 21 freshmen, two juniors and one sophomore.
Scouting Stony BrookThe No. 6 Seawolves are 15-1 and 5-0 in conference play, their only loss came back at Johns Hopkins on April 7. Freshman Kylie Ohimiller leads the team with 34 goals and 30 assists for 64 points, while Courtney Murphy adds 54 goals. Kaitlyn Murphy has made all 16 starts in net, boasting a goals against average of 5.57 and a save percentage of .416.
