LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team wraps up its four-game homestand, hosting Colorado on Friday, before traveling to Binghamton on March 29.
River Hawk ReviewThe River Hawks fell to Bryant, 16-3, on March 14.
Jesse Jay (Amherst, N.H.) scored her team-high 10th and 11th goals of the season, becoming the first UMass Lowell women's lacrosse player to reach double-digits.
Ally Williams (Winter Park, Fla.) scored her first career goal.
Jumping for JayJay leads the River Hawks with 11 goals and five assists for 16 points. She has recorded at least one point in eight games, and has four multi-point games.
Protecting the NestCourtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt.) leads the America East and is third nationally with 93 saves. Her 10.33 saves per game also lead the conference, and rank fifth in the nation. She also has team-highs in ground balls (36) and caused turnovers (14). Barrett is also averaging 4.00 ground balls per game to lead the America East.
Beginning of a New EraIn its first year of competition, UMass Lowell's roster consists of 21 freshmen, two juniors and one sophomore.
Scouting ColoradoThe Buffaloes are 4-3, after dropping their last contest 13-9 at No. 2 Boston College. The offense runs through Johnna Fusco, whose 21 goals and 23 points lead the team. Carly Cox has a team-high six assists. Paige Soenksen has made all seven starts in net and has made 58 saves. She carries a 10.27 goals against average and a .460 save percentage.

Scouting BinghamtonThe Bearcats enter the weekend matchup at 4-5, after snapping their four-game losing streak with a 9-7 win at Niagara. Sophia Racciatti's 15 goals, four assists and 19 points lead the team. Erin McNulty has made all nine starts in net, recording 63 saves. She has a .399 save percentage and a 11.50 goals against average.
