Twitter: @RiverHawkWSOC @RiverHawkNation LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's soccer team will travel to New Hampshire on Thursday, October 8 for a 7 p.m. contest before coming back home to host Binghamton on Sunday, Oct. 11 at Cushing Field for a 4 p.m. tilt.
Looking at UMass LowellUMass Lowell, who is 3-9-0 (0-2-0 AE) so far in 2015, is looking to snap a two-game skid. Last week, the team dropped their conference opener to UMBC, 2-0, on September 28, before facing a 1-0 overtime setback on the road to Maine. Freshman
Katelyn Vieira (Warwick, R.I.) found her groove last week, after scoring a hat trick against Quinnipiac, resulting in a 3-1 win. Vieira now ranks fifth in the conference for goals (5) and ninth for points (10). In addition to leading the team in goals and points, Vieira has also recorded a team high 19 shots and 16 shots on goals.
Alex Guzman (Las Vegas, Nev.) and
Carolyn Ragon (Melrose, Mass.) have each connected with their teammates, tallying two assists apiece. Goalkeeper
Julia Schneider (Bridgewater, Mass.) tallied a career-high nine saves in the teams most recent outing against Maine. Schneider has recorded all 12 decisions this season, owning a 3-9-0 record, with 51 saves and a 2.38 save percentage.
Scouting New HampshireThe Wildcats own a 5-5-3 record and are unbeaten in conference play, 3-0-0, so far this season. New Hampshire is currently riding a three-game win streak after a 3-2 decision on Oct. 1 against Vermont, then topping Albany in a 1-0 battle on Oct. 4. Sophomore Brooke Murphy leads the conference for goals (7) and points (17), as her teammate Caroline Murray leads the conference in assists (6). In the net, Mimi Borkan boasts a 1.11 goals against average, 65 saves, .813 save percentage and four blank sheets.

Series HistoryThursday's contest will mark the third meeting between the River Hawks and the Wildcats. After last year's victory, New Hampshire leads the all-time series, 2-0.
Scouting BinghamtonThe Bearcats are coming into Sunday's contest 1-10-1, 0-3-0 AE, after dropping a pair of decisions last week. Binghamton lost a close, 2-1, battle to Albany on Oct. 1 before being blanked by Hartford, 1-0. The Bearcats scoring is lead by Julianne Johnston and Stephani Church, adding two goals for four points apiece. Goalkeeper Katie Hatzlyanis posts a 2.18 goals against average, .743 save percentage, 75 saves and one shutout on the season.

Series HistorySunday's tilt will be the just the third time these conference opponents will square off, as Binghamton leads the all-time series, 2-0. UMass Lowell is looking lead with their offense after being blanked twice, in their first two meetings against the Bearcats.
Honors and AwardsKatelyn Vieira (Warwick, R.I.) tacked on River Hawk of the Week honors onto her America East Co-Rookie of the Week Award on Oct. 6. Vieira scored the programs first hat trick of the Division I era in a 3-1 over Quinnipiac on September 28, giving the squad their first home win of the season.
Julia Schneider (Bridgewater, Mass.) received America East Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 21 after posting her second straight blank sheet and four saves in a 2-0 victory over Bryant.
