LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's basketball team will make the short trip to Boston University for a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday, November 30.
LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELLThe River Hawks (4-2) return to action at Boston University on Sunday afternoon following a brief holiday break. The team is in the midst of a four-game win streak after sweeping four games in six days, most recently picking up a win in its home opener against Mount Ida.
LAST TIME OUTTyler Livingston (Hudson, N.H.) posted career highs with 23 points and 11 rebounds to lift UMass Lowell to a decisive, 102-57 decision against Mount Ida on Tuesday evening in the squad's home opener at the Costello Athletic Center. The River Hawks used a 25-0 first-half run to pull away. Livingston knocked down a personal-best five three-pointers in the victory en route to his first career double-double. He paced five double-digit scorers for UMass Lowell, as the team shot a season-high 56.5% (35-62) from the floor. Redshirt-freshman
Jahad Thomas (Williamsport, Pa.) added 16 points on the night, as well.

Marco Banegas-Flores (Boston, Mass.) have added to the offensive effort with 9.5 and 8.8 points, respectively, while

Kerry Weldon (New York, N.Y.) is second on the team with 5.3 rebounds per game. As a team, UMass Lowell is shooting 42.9% (141-329) from the floor and 37.2% (45-121) from beyond the arc. The squad is also shooting 61.4% (70-114) from the line.
SCOUTING BOSTON UNIVERSITYThe Terriers currently own a 1-3 overall record. Earlier this week, BU faced a 75-68 setback at New Hampshire. Cedric Hankerson leads the team with 20.3 points per game, while John Papale follows with 11.5 points. Nathan Dieudonne paces the Terriers with 7.8 rebounds per game. As a whole, the squad is shooting 40.9% (81-198) from the field, 37.4 (34-91) from three-point range and 73.0% (73-100) on free throws.
SERIES HISTORYBoston University leads the all-time series against UMass Lowell, 2-0. The teams last met on November 13, 2013 when BU earned a 91-65 victory. In that outing,
Akeem Williams led UMass Lowell with 18 points, four assists and four steals, while
DJ Mlachnik added a career-high 15 points.
STEALING THE SHOWThe River Hawks logged 15 steals at NJIT for the first time since reaching the mark against Adelphi on January 11, 2012.
Kerry Weldon set a season-high mark for the team with five steals in the NJIT contest, which was also a career-best for him.
Marco Banegas-Flores, who set a career-high with four steals at Rhode Island, currently leads UMass Lowell with 11 steals this season.
TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORTThree of the squad's four wins so far have been decided by seven points or less. The team even trailed in the second half at both NJIT and Fordham before battling back to earn the victories. Â
UNDER CONTROLThe River Hawks posted a season low for turnovers at Sacred Heart with just six. The team currently leads the America East with just 11.2 turnovers per game and a turnover margin of +4.0.
