Jackie Solimine (Haverhill, Mass.) placed 25
th and 27
th among scoring runners, respectively, to lead the UMass Lowell women's cross country team to seventh place at the America East Conference Championship Saturday morning at the Binghamton University Nature Preserve.

UMass Lowell scored 193 points (25, 27, 35, 51, 55 – 56, 62) and edged the University of Maine (194 points) and the host Bearcats (214). New Hampshire won the team championship with 46 points (6, 7, 10, 11, 12 – 16, 17) while Stony Brook was the runner-up with 63 points.

Vermont (77) placed third and was followed by Albany (82), UMBC (155) and Hartford (161).

"We are very pleased with our women," said Head Coach
Gary Gardner. "I think if everything went perfect, we might've placed a little higher. But considering five of our nine runners are freshmen, we're extremely happy."

Donovan ran the 5K course in 19:04.35 and placed 26
th overall while Solimine was close behind in 29
th in a time of 19:10.50. Senior

"I thought Erin, Jackie and Gina ran very, very well," said Gardner. "I thought Kelsey ran really tough considering this was her second meet of the season."

Senior Olivia Burne of Stony Brooke won the individual title in 17:30.14, edging senior Brittany Lane of Albany, the runner-up in 17:33.34.
