LOWELL, Mass. – Freshman Gracie Richard (Weymouth, Mass.) of the UMass Lowell women's cross country team has been tabbed America East Female Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon. 

Richard ran well in her collegiate debut, claiming 10th place out of 100 total finishers in the 3k race with a time of 11:34.70. This made for a 6:12.6 pace. 

This honor marks the first America East weekly award of her career.
