LOWELL, Mass. (Nov. 16, 2013) – The UMass Lowell volleyball team suffered a three set loss to Albany, Saturday night in an America East Conference volleyball match at the Costello Athletic Center in Lowell, Mass.

Game scores were 12-25, 16-25 and 26-28.

UMass Lowell finishes its first Division I season 0-26, (0-14, America East) while Albany improved to 9-18, (9-5, America East) and awaits America East Tournament pairings.

Junior OH Ella Merrill (Bermuda Dunes, Calif) had nine kills to go along with her ten digs. Junior MH Anisa Smith (Moraga, Calif.) also had nine kills and two blocks. Junior setter Kamiren Humphrey (Tucson, Ariz.) led the River Hawks with 26 assists to finish the season with 375 total. Junior Hannah Rey (San Diego, Calif) had game-high 19 digs.

Albany's Tatum Jungsten led the Great Danes with nine kills while Viktoriia Strolio had a team high 16 digs and Mikala McCauley a game-high 31 assists.
