VESTAL, N.Y. (Oct. 20, 2013) – Senior MH Grace Vickers compiled 14 kills and hit .417 to lead Binghamton University over UMass Lowell, 3-0, Sunday afternoon in an America East Conference volleyball clash at the West Gym.
 
With the loss, UMass Lowell slipped to 0-7 in America East and 0-19 overall in its first season in Division I and visits New Hampshire next Saturday at 2:00.
 
Binghamton improved to 3-4 in America East and 5-16 overall and hosts Albany next Saturday at 5:00.
 
Senior MH Anisa Smith (Moraga, Calif.) led UMass Lowell with six kills and three blocks while senior OH Brooke Peterson (Del Mar, Calif.) added five kills and three digs. Junior setter Kamiren Humphrey (Tucson, Ariz.) dished out 17 assists in addition to three kills, two blocks and two digs.
 
Vickers compiled 14 kills with four errors on 24 attacks while junior OH Kristin Hovie added eight kills and five digs and junior setter Amanda Dettman 26 assists along with seven aces, six kills and five digs.
