LOWELL (Oct. 10, 2013) – Junior MB Becky Jay had seven kills and hit .583 to lead Robert Morris University over UMass Lowell, 3-0, Thursday night in a non-conference volleyball match at the Costello Athletic Center.
 
With the loss, UMass Lowell dipped to 0-15 entering Friday night's home clash against Hartford (7:00) and Sunday's match against Providence (1:00), both America East Conference matches.
 
Robert Morris improved to 3-16 and visits Central Connecticut State Saturday at 1:00.
 
Junior OH Ella Merrill (Bermuda Dunes, Calif.) and freshman OH Ana Anadon (Carlsbad, Calif.) each compiled six kills to lead UMass Lowell. Merrill chipped in four digs while Anadon had three.
 
Junior setter Kamiren Humphrey (Tucson, Ariz.) dished out 16 assists while senior libero Carolyn Eddy (Dracut, Mass.) had a match-high 15 digs.
 
Jay had seven kills without an error on 12 attacks while junior OH Erica Robb had five kills and 12 digs. Freshman OH Arden Fisher had five kills along with nine digs while sophomore MB Kristin Thompson chipped in five kills and six blocks.
 
Junior setter Hannah Hoffman compiled 24 assists.
