Junior GK Jill Carlson (Lexington, Mass.) stopped four shots en route to her second shutout of the season as UMass Lowell and Le Moyne College played to a 0-0 draw in double overtime Saturday afternoon at the Niland Athletic Complex.

With the draw, UMass Lowell is unbeaten in three of its last four matches and currently stands at 3-4-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the NE-10 entering Tuesday's home match against Stonehill (7:00).

Le Moyne is currently 2-4-3 overall and 0-4-3 in the Conference.

UMass Lowell outshot Le Moyne 15-9 overall and 5-4 on frame.

“We defended well, we attacked well, we just couldn't put one away,” said head coach Elie Monteiro. “I liked out possession. We kept their dangerous players at bay and we weren't shy about shooting, which was good to see.
“Jill picked up a number of through-balls and crosses,” he added. “She handled everything well back there.”

Le Moyne hit the crossbar twice, once in the 10th minute on a header by senior B Stephanie Bonzerato and again five minutes into the first overtime by senior F Christie Morano.

UMass Lowell had arguably its best chance to break the deadlock in the 66th when senior F Keanna Santos (Lakeville, Mass.) crossed to freshman B Gabriele Carrick (Marblehead, Mass.) whose sidefoot hit the far post and was cleared.

The River Hawks had other chances, particularly early on. In the 23rd, Santos broke free inside the box to meet a cross, but headed over the bar. In the 40th, freshman Rachel Silk (Lowell, Mass.) slotted wide left off a corner kick from freshman B Shannon Rubin (Brooklyn, N.Y.).
