Sophomore Karie Judge (Tewksbury, Mass.) was named UMass Lowell's Northwestern Mutual Athlete of the Week Tuesday after running a person-best at the New Balance Twilight Invitational at the Cushing Field Complex.

Judge led all collegiate runners and placed fifth overall in the 800 meters. She finished in a time of 2:13.21.  

Judge is the daughter of Mary Zelten of Tewksbury, Mass and Robert Judge of Billerica, Mass.

UMass Lowell is sending four individuals and the men's 4X400 meter relay team to the NCAA Championship Thursday through Sunday at Colorado State University-Pueblo.
