Homero Morais (Somerville, Mass.) scored goals in either half as UMass Lowell defeated Dominican College, 3-1 Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference men's soccer clash at OMM Field.
The win halts a two-match slide for UMass Lowell, which improved to 12-3-1 overall and caps the regular season at Stonehill Friday afternoon at 3:30. With a victory, UMass Lowell can win the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title outright for the first time in school history.
Merrimack (8-2-1 in the NE-10) sits in second place entering tonight's home match against Saint Michael's while Southern New Hampshire (8-3-0 in the NE-10) is currently third, but has the tiebreaker over UMass Lowell with its 3-0 victory last week in Manchester.

“I thought we did a much better job putting them under pressure,” said head coach
Christian Figueroa. “We did it better as a whole, to win balls back. I thought our backline did a very good job of forcing them to shoot from distance and from bad angles.”
Galvin gave the River Hawks a dream start in the fifth minute.
