Adelphi University had four players with double digit kills as it defeated UMass Lowell, 3-1, Friday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball match at the Costello Athletic Center.

Game scores favored Adelphi 25-16, 20-25, 25-20, 25-14.

The loss was the fourth straight for UMass Lowell, which slipped to 8-11 overall and 3-6 in the NE-10 entering Saturday's clash against Pace University (1:00).

The win was the fourth straight for Adelphi, which improved to 15-8 overall and 6-0 in the Conference.

Sophomore Ella Merrill (Bermuda Dunes, Calif.) led UMass Lowell with 10 kills and 11 digs while sophomore RSH Sierra Brown (San Diego, Calif.) added nine kills. Junior S Olivia Parkins (Dracut, Mass.) compiled 25 assists.

Adelphi hit a collective .327 (54 kills, 17 errors, 113 attacks. Senior OH Chelsea Overholt led the Panthers with 13 kills and eight digs while sophomore OH Haley Blunt chipped in 12 kills while hitting .588 (12 kills, two errors, 17 attacks).

Senior MB Samantha Rico added 11 kills and sophomore MB Katelyn DeStefano had 10 kills and seven blocks. Junior S Katie Bryson dished out 39 assists.
