Ryan McGrath (O'Fallon, Mo.) was named UMass Lowell's Northwestern Mutual Athlete of the Week Wednesday after leading the men's ice hockey to a victory over Bentley University. The River Hawks won 3-2 at the Tsongas Center Sunday afternoon.
McGrath scored twice in the come-from-behind win. He scored his first goal of the night 42 seconds into the second period to notch the game at one. He then scored the game-winner with less than five minutes remaining in the game to give the River Hawks the win.
McGrath has eight points on four goals and four assists this season.
McGrath is the son of Kelly and Tim McGrath of O'Fallon, Mo.
