UMass Lowell men’s basketball freshman guard Isaac White (Ashland, Ohio) has been tabbed River Hawk of the Week for the second time in three weeks.
White paced the squad in three games last week, averaging 13.7 points per game and shooting 50.0 percent (9-18) from three-point territory. He added 4.3 rebounds per game, and totaled nine assists and a team-high four steals, as well.
The 6-0 guard capped the week with a personal-best 20 points to lead UMass Lowell to an exciting, 68-66 victory at Boston College on December 6. He drained a season-high, five three-point field goals en route to his first 20+ point performance.
In addition, he added double-digits in the first two-games of the week, helping the River Hawks during a busy stretch with three games in four days. White notched 10 points and four rebounds at LIU Brooklyn on Dec. 3 before logging 11 points, five rebounds and five assists at NJIT on Dec. 5.
Through eight games in 2015-16, White is first on the squad with 12.4 points per game. He is also leading the River Hawks with 20 three-pointers and 11 steals so far, and is shooting 44.3% (27-61) from the floor.
