A hat trick against Binghamton by Emily Nelson (Peabody, Mass.) has earned her America East Rookie of the Week honors, her second of the season.

Nelson scored three goals in a span of 15 minutes in the River Hawks' 3-1 win against Binghamton on Sunday. She also had a strong performance in UMass Lowell's double overtime tie against New Hampshire, playing all 110 minutes and attempting a pair of shots.

She now leads the team in goals with seven and sits at third in minutes played on the team.
