Junior forward Torrie Huk (Milford, Del.) received a nod for River Hawk of the Week following a pair of overtime victories for the River Hawks in Ohio from September 1-3.
Huk continued the strong start to her junior campaign, finishing with three goals on the weekend, including the game-winning tally in overtime in both outings.
Â
The game at Miami, which had been tied since the 37th minute, remained deadlocked through more than 14 minutes of 7-vs-7 overtime play until Huk was able to break into the circle and redirect a pass on target to earn the closely-contested decision. Two days later, it was déjà vu for Huk and the River Hawks when she finished a well-placed pass near the left post, this time in just the second minute of overtime against Ball State.

The "River Hawk of the Week" is chosen in voting by the UMass Lowell Athletic Communications staff. It honors the top athlete, male or female, based on performance during the previous week of competition. This is the first career River Hawk of the Week honor for Huk.
