Hana Caster (North Attleboro, Mass.) garnered her first career America East Rookie of the Week honors after notching nine points in a 1-1 week for the River Hawks, which included their first conference win in program history against Vermont. Additionally, Caster picked up her first River Hawk of the Week nod on Wednesday afternoon.
The midfielder turned in her most successful week to date, boasting nine goals and averaging 4.50 points and goals per game, respectively, with a .750 shooting percentage. Additionally, Caster went 4-for-5 on free positions shots in the week, while winning three draw controls, picking up two ground balls and forcing one caused turnover.
In her performance against Vermont, Caster matched single game program bests in points and goals with six. Caster provided the team with the tying and go-ahead goal in the first half, before notching four more goals in the second half, helping UMass Lowell to a 14-8 victory against Vermont.
Earlier in the week, Caster picked up her first career hat trick against Brown, while winning one draw control for the River Hawks.
So far this season, Caster is posting 14 goals and seven assists for 21 points. The North Attleboro, Mass. native has collected 15 ground balls, and forced seven turnovers, while her 16 draw controls are a fourth best on the team.
