Biography

CAREER: Started 179 of 185 career games … batted .281 on 145 hits with 64 runs scored, 20 doubles and 53 RBI … ranks in the top 15 on the program’s career record lists for hits, singles (119), at-bats (516), walks (47) and games played (185).
 
AS A SENIOR (2017):
Started all 40 games … finished second on the team with a career-high .341 batting average and 45 hits … totaled 16 runs scored and 13 RBI … added six doubles, two triples, one home run and 11 walks … boasted a .439 slugging percentage and a .392 on-base percentage … named to the America East All-Conference Second Team.

AS A JUNIOR (2016): Started all 50 games played, batting .255 (39-153) … tallied a team- and career-high 18 RBI … tied for second on team with 14 runs … finished second on the squad with career-best marks for hits (39) and doubles (7) … led the team with seven sacrifice bunts ... third with 49 total bases … drew 10 walks and notched three stolen bases … had a slugging percentage of .320 with a .301 on-base percentage … tied for first overall with four multiple RBI games and finished second with 10 multiple hit games … paced the squad with 103 assists in the field ...... logged her only home run of the season while tying a career high with three RBI vs. North Dakota (3.12) … posted a season-high three hits on three occasions, last vs. Detroit (3.11).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Started all 47 games, turning in a team-high .299 (38-127) average … led the team in hits … notched one home run, one triple and five doubles, while driving in 14 RBI … second on the team in total bases (48) … scored 19 runs … had a team-best 97 assists in the field … career-high three RBI at Binghamton (4.14) … went 2-for-4 with two runs scored for season highs against Army (2.8).

AS A FRESHMAN: Started 42 of 49 games, making 48 appearances… batted .221 (23-104) with a slugging percentage of .240 on the year… led the team in sacrifice hits (6)… tied third for sacrifice fly (1)… logged eight RBI and two doubles and 25 total bases… went 6-6 in stolen base attempts… best game of the season came in the form a 3-for-3 performance vs Boston University (4.28) … season-high two RBI in a win over Mount St. Mary’s (3.15) ... scored two runs three times, last at Coppin State (3.16).

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Walnut Grove Secondary School for coach Dave Burns ... named Captain, Most Valuable Player, All-Conference, All-state, and All-American ... was the 2012 Canadian Nationals All-Star Shortstop and was awarded a silver medal ... was awarded the British Columbia’s Provincials Silver Medal in 2013 ... won a silver medal in the 2010 British Columbia Summer Games ... made Honor Roll from the eighth grade through twelfth grade.

PERSONAL: Daughter of May and Murray Welch of Langley, British Columbia ... majoring in plastics engineering.
