Biography

AS A SENIOR: Started all 49 games • Second on the team with 22 runs • Scored the winning run as the River Hawks walked off with a 7-6 victory over Holy Cross on April 6 • Homered in her final collegiate at-bat


AS A JUNIOR: Was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week on April 22 • Was named to the NE-10 All-Conference Third Team • Played in all 48 games for the River Hawks • Had a .300 batting average with 24 RBI • Tied for second on the team with five homeruns • Her best game came on March 29 in a win over Franklin Pierce. In that game, Ferraro was 2-for-3 with a homerun and three RBI.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Started all 52 games for the River Hawks • Had a .288 batting average and 32 RBI • Had three home runs, 10 doubles and 27 runs scored • Went 4-5 in stolen bases and had .950 fielding percentage.

AS A FRESHMAN: Tabbed as NE-10 Rookie of the Week on April 25 after batting .583 and going 7-12 with four runs scored • Also had a pair of home runs in the win over Saint Rose • Appeared in 46 games, making 43 starts for the River Hawks • Finished the year with a .310 batting average, 14 RBI and 18 runs • Had a .931 fielding percentage and 93 assists.

KINGSTON HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years of softball at Kingston High School • Three-time Freeman Softball All-Star Team selection • Team captain and standout field hockey player at KHS, also • Played for Ulster Fillies and Mid Hudson Rebels for Don Beesmer and Paul Zweifel, respectively • Finished senior year with .409 BA and 16 RBI in 21 games • Was a National Junior Honor Society and National Foreign Language Honor Society inductee, as well as four-year honor roll student and Scholar Athlete.

PERSONAL: Younger of two children of Nadine and James Ferraro • Says playing a three-overtime game in the state tournament was her greatest sports moment • Majoring business administation
