Scott Dalgliesh

Scott Dalgliesh enters his second season as Ed Stephenson's top assistant coach and offensive coordinator for the River Hawks.

In his first season and the program's first in Division I, Dalgliesh helped lead the River Hawks to the program's first victory at NJIT on March 7. Under his guidance as Offensive Coordinator, freshmen attackmen Cory Highfield and Sean Tyrrell were rewarded for their strong seasons with spots on the America East All-Rookie Team.

He previously served as head coach at Marywood University for the last three seasons (2012-2014). Outside the lines with the Pacers, Dalgliesh mentored 30 All-Academic Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) student-athletes and 23 All-CSAC players while improving the retention rate of the team by eight-percent from 2012-2014 compared to 2009-2011. He owned a 25-28 (.472) overall record, and 15-4 (.789) conference record in three seasons at the helm of the Pacers’ program, which included two 10-win seasons in 2012 and 2014. While at Marywood, Dalgliesh also served as Coordinator of Field Operations, where he acted as the athletic department field liaison coordinating and scheduling, practices and games.

Dalgliesh will be a part of his second program formation after joining Head Coach Mic Grant at Marywood in 2007 to launch the Pacers program, spending three years as an assistant coach (2007-2009) with the Pacers. He helped guide Marywood to a 9-5 record and a berth in the conference playoffs in the team’s inaugural season. The Pacers followed that up with its first 10-win season where they advanced to the CSAC Championship Game.

He also served as assistant coach at at Brown (2010-2011) for one season. Before joining the coaching staff with the Bears, Dalgliesh spent a season as an assistant coach at Lafayette College (2009-10) where he worked with 2010 Patriot League Coach of the Year Terry Mangan.  Serving as a defensive coordinator, Dalgliesh helped lead the Leopards to one of the of the most improved seasons in Division I, as Lafayette spent eight weeks in the national rankings, reached as high as eighth in the nation, and captured the most wins for the program since 1984.  The Leopards would go on to earn the program’s first-ever appearance in the Patriot League Championship Tournament and achieved a League leading 27 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

A 2007 graduate of Dickinson College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Policy also enjoyed a stellar playing career by setting a plethora of conference and program records at the time. Dalgliesh was instrumental in helping the Red Devils win the most games in a season (11) in 2006 and also the most wins by a class (38) during his career. Dalgliesh also earned his masters degree in Public Administration at Marywood in 2009.
