2016-17 Season: Folin played in 18 contests in his sophomore season, registering one assist on Feb. 10 vs. BU with a +6 plus/minus rating. He had a plus or even rating in 15 of 18 games this season for the River Hawks. Had a season-high four blocked shots on October 14th at Colorado College and October 22nd vs. Clarkson. 

2015-16 Season: Folin skated in 35 contests in his freshman season, registering nine assists to go along with a +12 plus/minus rating. Tallied a career-high two assists on January 22nd at Providence. Notched his first collegiate assist on October 16th vs. Colorado College. Had an even or plus rating in 29 of 35 games this season. The River Hawks were 6-2-0 when Folin scored a point this season.

Omaha Lancers: Appeared in 128 games during three years with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL ... had three goals and 16 points in each of his final two seasons with the Lancers. 

Personal: Son of Susanne and Martin ... his father played professional soccer in Sweden for 15 years… older brother Christian played at UMass Lowell for two years and plays with the NHL’s Minnesota Wild ... hobbies include soccer and golf ... lists Manchester United as his favorite sports team ... Favorite TV show is Friends ... Lists Cristiano Ronaldo as his favorite sports figure ... Chose UMass Lowell because “I’d heard a lot of good things about the school and especially the hockey program and think that UMass Lowell is going to be the perfect spot for me to develop as a hockey player and person.” ... his greatest sports moments include being a member of the U-16 Swedish National Championship Team ...
