Biography

CAREER: Captain of the 2021-22 squad … Skated in 121 games as a River Hawk, collecting 52 career points off 24 goals and 28 assists … Scored six power play goals, four shorthanded goals and one game-winner during his tenure at UMass Lowell … Two-time recipient of the team’s MVP Award and the Gus Coutu Award … Three-time Hockey East All-Academic Team selection.

AS A SENIOR (2021-22): 
Named Captain for the 2021-22 season … Skated in all but two contests for the River Hawks … Saw a career year on the ice, registering collegiate highs in goals (10), assists (13) and points (23) … Ranked third on the team in points with 23, four in assists with 13 third in goals with 10 … Finished seventh on the team in blocks with 22 … Led the team in shorthanded goals with three … Finished tied for second in the country in shorthanded goals … … Scored a pair of power play tallies … Capped the year with a +4 rating … Put up a single-season high three points against Michigan State (1G, 2A) (10/23) … Named the team’s MVP and Gus Coutu Award recipient for the second consecutive year

AS A JUNIOR (2020-21): Appeared in all 20 games for the River Hawks, registering 10 points off six goals and four assists…Recorded a season-high four points (1G, 3A) against Maine, including a helper on the game-winning goal…Picked up two short-handed points this year, including a goal at Boston College (2/13)…Blocked 12 shots across his junior campaign...Named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Condotta registered a career-high 10 points (6g,4a) in his sophomore campaign, skating in all 34 games for UMass Lowell. He notched a career-high two goals on two occasions; October 11th at Minnesota Duluth and January 10th at RIT. The River Hawks owned a 5-0-2 record when Condotta scored a point. Was named a Hockey East All-Academic selection for the second straight season. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2018-19): He appeared in 34 of 37 games for the River Hawks in his freshman year, posting nine points (4g,5a) with 44 shots on goal. Recorded his first collegiate goal on October 27th in the 4-2 road win at Bentley. Had a career-high two points (2a) on November 10th in the 5-4 loss at Northeastern. He totaled a career-high five shots on goal on Nov. 17th vs. UConn. UMass Lowell owns a 6-2-0 record when Condotta notched a point. 

Previous Team: Condotta played the last three seasons for the Markham Royals of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) for Head Coach Mike Galati. He posted 82 points (35g,47a) in 54 games last season for the Royals and added three assists in six playoff games in 2017-18. Condotta amassed 179 points (71g,108a) in three seasons with Markham in 160 contests and he totaled 15 assists in 21 career playoff games with the Royals. 

Personal: Son of Sherry and Joe Condotta... Has two siblings... His relative Matt Martin played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and in Hockey East at the University of Maine...His nickname is Dotter... In his time away from the rink he loves basketball, golf and working out... Favorite TV show is One Tree Hill... His favorite professional sports team is the Toronto Maple Leafs... His favorite sports figure and influence is Darcy Tucker. His greatest sports moment was the Malcolm Butler interception in Super Bowl 49, when the New England Patriots defeated in the Seattle Seahawks. He hopes to continue playing hockey after college, if not, he would like to win the Crossfit Games.
