CAREER: Has skated in 55 games, registering five goals and 10 assists for 15 career points … Named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team as a freshman … Named the team’s Most Improved Player as a sophomore.
AS A JUNIOR (2021-22): Appeared in 29 games as a junior … Registered career-highs in all three scoring categories with three goals, five assists and eight points … Ended the year with a +10 rating … Has one game-winning goal to his credit … Blocked a season-high four shots against Arizona State (10/3).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Skated in 12 games for the River Hawks, scoring four points off a goal and three assists...Named the team’s Most Improved Player...Named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019-20): Wells appeared in 14 contests for the River Hawks as a freshman, posting three points (1g,2a). Made his collegiate debut on October 6th vs. Alabama Huntsville. Scored his first career goal in a road win at Merrimack on February 8th. He was named a Hockey East All-Academic selection for his efforts in the classroom.
Previous Team: Wells played the last two seasons for the Okotoks Oilers in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). He recorded 32 points (15g,17a) in 45 contests in 2018-19 and he posted 24 points (10g,14a) in 49 games in the 2017-18 campaign. He totaled nine points (4g,5a) in 20 playoff games for the Oilers in two seasons, which included eight points (3g,5a) in 11 playoff games in 2019 with Okotoks.
