Jerod Edmondson is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the UMass Lowell baseball program.
Edmondson has spent time in the River Hawk program, playing in 2007 as a graduate student and serving as a volunteer hitting coach in 2008. During his tenure as a River Hawk, the Massachusetts native started all 54 games, batting .336 and driving in a team-high 42 RBIs.
Before making his return to Lowell, Edmondson was the assistant coach at Framingham State University since 2013. Previously, he worked as the hitting coach for the New Jersey Jackals of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball for the 2015 season. Edmondson also spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons in the CanAm league with the Rockland Boulders in the same capacity.
The three-year standout player at St. Anselm College also played professional ball in the CanAm league with the Nashua Pride, Brockton Rox, New Hampshire Defenders, New Jersey Jackals, Pittsfield Colonials, Worcester Tornadoes and the Rockland Boulders. He won the league batting title with a .332 average for the Jackals, and was a three-time All-Star team member.
Edmondson graduated from St. Anselm in 2006 with a bachelor of arts degree in history.
