Biography

2018-19 Season: He has skated in 16 games this season, registering two assists with 20 shots on goal. Totaled assists in back-to-back games in the season-opening series vs. RIT to start the year. Played in the first 11 contests to start the season. Owns a plus or even rating in 10 of 16 games for the River Hawks this season. Last dressed in a game on Feb. 15th vs. Providence.

2017-18 Season: Evingson played 16 games in his rookie campaign with the River Hawks. He posted six points (1g,5a) with a +2 plus/minus rating. Scored a goal and a career-high two points with a +4 rating in his first collegiate game on October 14th against Omaha at the Tsongas Center. UMass Lowell owned a 4-1-0 record on the season when Evingson scored a point. Played in seven straight contests from Nov. 17th to Dec. 30th.  Had a plus or even rating in 11 of 16 games.

NHL Draft: Evingson was selected by the Winnipeg Jets with the 211th pick in the 2017 NHL Draft on June 25th held at the United Center. He is one of four current River Hawks to be picked in NHL Draft, joining Seth Barton (DET), Ryan Lohin (TBL) and Tyler Wall (NYR).

Previous Team: Evingson played last season for the Shreveport Mudbugs in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He recorded 52 points (12g,40a) in 59 contests. His 40 assists and 52 points led all NAHL defenseman in 2016-17. He was named the NAHL's Defenseman of the Year and selected to the All-NAHL Team, as well as the All-South Division Team.

Personal: Son of Kathie and John Evingson... Has an older sister Brook... likes to go hiking when away from the rink... Favorite TV show is Prison Break... His favorite professional sports team is the Pittsburgh Penguins and his favorite sports figure is Sidney Crosby... His greatest sports moment was commiting to play hockey at UMass Lowell.
