LOWELL, Mass. – After a productive performance during opening weekend, sophomore Dalyn Wakely (Port Hope, Ontario) of the UMass Lowell ice hockey team has been named the River Hawk of the Week, presented by Workers Credit Union.
The six-foot forward led the way for the River Hawks with three points on three assists over the two-game weekend. In Friday's matchup against Clarkson, Wakely recorded his first assist of the season on the team's second goal before adding two more assists Saturday in a 4-2 victory against St. Lawrence, including one on the game-winning goal in the second period.
UMass Lowell's Rookie of the Year last season, Wakely is off to a strong start to the 2026-27 campaign and looks to keep the momentum going this weekend as the River Hawks host Arizona State for a two-game series.
