LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell and the Tsongas Center are proud to announce the installation of a brand-new center-hung video board, marking a major upgrade to the arena's fan experience and visual display capabilities.

The new video board, manufactured and installed by UberDisplays, is a game-changer, boasting four times the pixel density and resolution of the previous system. The new board delivers stunning, high-definition visuals in full 1080p HD playback.

A key technical improvement is the pixel pitch, the distance between individual LED pixels. The previous board had a pixel pitch of 12 millimeters, whereas the new installation boasts a much finer 3.9 millimeters, providing crisper and more detailed images, regardless of where fans are seated.

Physically larger and more seamless, the new center-hung board eliminates "dead space" that logos between screens can create. Now, the entire display surface is active, providing uninterrupted content for live game action, instant replays, and dynamic fan engagement.

The arena's ribbon boards also received a significant upgrade. The new ribbons extend in a horseshoe shape around the north end of the arena, creating an immersive visual environment.

The video displays ensure the Tsongas Center remains a premier destination for sports, concerts, and community events.
