TROIS-RIVIERES, Quebec—UMass Lowell hockey senior Zach Kaiser (Orangeville, Ontario) joins the list of River Hawks in the Pros after signing a one-year contract with the ECHL's Trois-Rivières Lions, as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.

"Zach had a breakout senior season and pushed through his injury to come back early and help our team for the playoff push. We are very proud of his accomplishments both on the ice and in the class room," remarked Head Coach Norm Bazin. "After graduating with his bachelor's degree last summer, he will be attending graduation and receiving his MBA in May. He has been an outstanding example of what it means to be a student athlete at the college level."

An alternate captain for the 2022-23 squad, Kaiser kicked his offensive production into high gear in his final season in the Mill City. Setting career-best numbers across all three-scoring categories, Kaiser scored eight goals and dished out eight assists to put up a career-high 16 points in 30 games. A standout on special teams, the forward finished his four seasons with 113 games to his credit and 39 points off 21 goals and 18 assists.

A three-time Hockey East All-Academic Team honoree, Kaiser graduates with both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business from the UMass Lowell Manning School of Business. Last season, he was one of six River Hawks to be named to the ACHA All-Academic Scholars list.
