LOWELL, Mass. – After just two days off, the UMass Lowell women's basketball team (7-11, 4-5 AE) will travel to Baltimore, Maryland to take on the UMBC Retrievers (3-15, 2-6 AE) on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is slated for 3:30 p.m. at the UMBC Event Center.
LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks enter Saturday after dropping a thriller to Stony Brook on February 9 at the Costello Athletic Center. Sophomore

Kharis Idom (Orlando, Fla.) and junior
Denise Solis (Windsor, Conn.) each scored 12 points in the 69-65 defeat. The River Hawks erased a 16-point deficit and outscored the Seawolves 30-16 in the third quarter to set up a wild finish. UMass Lowell picked up a season-high 19 offensive rebounds against Stony Brook and shot 34.8% from behind the arc.
SCOUTING THE RETRIEVERS
UMBC welcomes the River Hawks on a two-game win streak, knocking off conference foes New Hampshire (57-52) and Hartford (51-48). Janee'a Summers (12.9) and Onome-Juliet Esadah (10.3) lead the team in scoring. Danae Marquez leads the team with 36 assists on the season, while Alexia Nelson and Keelah Dixon have dished out 35 and 31 assists, respectively. As a team, the Retrievers are shooting 36.8% from the field this season.
A WIN WOULD
A win would complete the season sweep of the Retrievers. A win would also be a sixth win in the last seven meetings for the River Hawks.
LEADING THE FLOCK
Kharis Idom is averaging a team-high 10.0 points per game, picking up a team-best 36 assists, and a team-high 30 threes.
Denise Solis averages 9.4 points per game and shooting a team-high 54% this season. Eight River Hawks have tallied double-digit steals this season. Nine River Hawks have tallied at least 20 rebounds this season, and eleven players have tallied double-digit boards through eighteen games this season. Edmonds and
Leilani Rodriguez have dished out 27 and 20 dimes, respectively.
CONSISTENCY IS KEY
Kharis Idom has started all eighteen games this season for the River Hawks, while junior
Shamyjha Price (Pittsburgh, Penn.) has made 16 starts. The upperclassmen will look to lead the team out of the gate once again.

OFF THE BENCH
The River Hawks have gotten plenty of depth scoring to start the season, averaging 18.9 points off the bench. The team recorded a season-high 35 points off the bench against UMBC on January 17.
IDOM ON THE PRIZE
After picking up 10 points against Cornell on December 1,
Kharis Idom became the fourth River Hawk in the Division I era to surpass 800 career points. She sits fourth in all-time points in the Division I era at UMass Lowell. Idom currently sits at 948 career points.
FIELD GOAL GETTER
With 65 made field goals on 121 attempts,
Denise Solis leads the team in field goal percentage, shooting 53.7% on the year.
A DIME A DOZEN
Kharis Idom,

Leilani Rodriguez lead the team with double-digit assists each through eighteen games this season. Idom has tallied 33 dimes, while Edmonds has 31.

THREES COMPANY
The River Hawks scored a season-high 11 three pointers against UMBC, shooting 11-18 for 61% from beyond the arc. It is the most three pointers scored in a single game by UMass Lowell since the team hit 10 against UMBC on February 18, 2017. The team hit 11 threes for the second time this season against Hartford on February 7, shooting 11-21 from distance.
BOARDS GALORE
The River Hawks have tallied a total of 574 rebounds this season. The team averages 31.9 rebounds per game with the sixth best rebounding margin in the league.
