LOWELL, Mass. – After back-to-back conference wins, the UMass Lowell women's basketball team (5-7, 2-1 AE) welcomes the New Hampshire Wildcats (4-12, 1-4 AE) for an afternoon matchup on Saturday, January 22. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Costello Athletic Center.
LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
UMass Lowell welcomes New Hampshire after a big road win over Maine on January 19. The River Hawks held off a late surge to beat the Black Bears 60-55 for a second straight conference win. Junior
Denise Solis (Windsor, Conn.) led the team with 13 points and added three boards. Freshman
Ivory Finley (Minneapolis, Minn.) scored 12, shooting 2-4 from distance. As a unit, the River Hawks shot 33% from behind the arc, building off a season-high 11 threes against UMBC on January 17.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
The Wildcats come to Lowell after picking up their first conference win of the season against Hartford on January 19. Helena Delaruelle hit a game-winning three as time expired to give New Hampshire a 69-66 win over the Hawks. Amanda Torres leads the team averaging 11.3 points per game and has a team-high 48 assists and 30 steals on the season. The Wildcats are shooting 36% from the field through 16 games this year.
A WIN WOULD
A win would be a fifth straight victory over the Wildcats dating back to January 2, 2020. A win would also be a fourth home win in the last five meetings between the two teams.
BEYOND THE ARC
As a unit, the River Hawks have hit 63 threes through twelve games, shooting 34% from behind the arc. Senior
Kharis Idom (Orlando, Fla.) leads the team with 14 made 3FGs. Sophomore

LEADING THE FLOCK
Solis is averaging a team-high 10.0 points per game, picking up a team-best 62 boards, and a team-high eight blocks.
Kharis Idom averages 8.7 points per game and made a team-high 14 three-pointers this season.

Eight River Hawks have tallied at least 20 rebounds this season, and eleven players have tallied double-digit boards through nine games this season. FIELD GOAL GETTER
With 47 made field goals on 84 attempts,
Denise Solis leads the team in field goal percentage, shooting 56% on the year, second best in the America East Conference.
THREES COMPANY
The River Hawks scored a season-high 11 three pointers against UMBC, shooting 11-18 for 61% from beyond the arc. It is the most three pointers scored in a single game by UMass Lowell since the team hit 10 against UMBC on February 18, 2017.
BOARDS GALORE
The River Hawks have tallied a total of 411 rebounds this season. The team averages 34.3 rebounds per game with the sixth best rebounding margin in the league.
LOW POINTS
The River Hawks limited Bryant to 54 points, the lowest allowed this season. UMass Lowell allowed a season-low points in a quarter three times CCSU, Cornell, and Massachusetts, giving up just seven points in the second quarter, first quarter, and third quarter, respectively. UMass Lowell also held Maine to 55 points on January 19 and limited the Black Bears to just eight points in the second quarter.
