SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell enters the week with a 3-2 overall record, after a 2-0 road week with victories against Dartmouth (13-8) and Mannattan (8-5). Senior midfielder
Cory Highfield (Georgetown, Ont.) has posted a team-best and career-best 17 points and 10 goals in his senior season. Junior attackman Dan Cozzi (Reading, Mass.) has tallied a team-high nine assists through five games so far.Â
SCOUTING THE MINUTEMEN: UMass owns a 3-3 overall record entering Tuesday's afternoon's tilt. The Minutemen are 0-2 at home so far this season. UMass is coming off an 19-7 win at NJIT on Saturday. Gabriel Procyk totaled five goals in the win, while Devin Spencer added three tallies in the victory for the Minutemen. Procyk leads UMass' roster with 17 goals, while Chris Connolly has totaled a team-best 24 points and 17 assists. Connolly's 2.7 assists per game rank 10th in the nation.Â
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES: UAlbany owns a 1-4 overall record coming into Saturday's contest, which includes a 0-2 record at home. The Great Danes have lost three straight contests, including games to No. 3 Cornell and No. 7 Maryland. Mitch Laffin registered three goals in the most recent 14-9 loss to the Terrapins on Saturday. Jakob Patterson leads the team with 17 points (11g,6a) for UAlbany.Â
HULT AND MCDONOUGH EARN WEEKLY AWARDS:Â Junior defenderÂ

Liam McDonough (Groton, Mass.) have earned America East honors after helping the UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team to a 2-0 week. Hult was named Defensive Player of the Week, while McDonough earned the Rookie of the Week award, as announced by the conference on Monday. Hult tallied 11 ground balls and four caused turnovers and helped hold last week's opponents to 6.5 goals per game. McDonough had 20 ground balls and won 65 percent of his face-offs in the two road victories against Dartmouth and Manhattan. Hult has recorded 19 ground balls and seven caused turnovers in five contests so far this season, while McDonough leads the River Hawks' roster with 41 ground balls and 68 face-off wins (64.8%) in five games. McDonough ranks eighth in the nation with 8.2 ground balls per game and his face-off winning percentage in the sixth best in the nation.
LAST TIME OUT:Â The UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team earned an 8-5 victory at Manhattan on Saturday afternoon in non-conference play at Gaelic Park.Â

THE KENNEDY CUP CHALLENGE: Tuesday's game marks the 12th game of the inaugural Kennedy Cup Challenge, which was established in the fall of 2018 and will be awarded annually to the team with the most wins in the cumulative season series between the UMass Lowell and UMass Amherst. John Kennedy is a longtime supporter of the UMass Lowell and UMass Amherst athletic programs. The teams will play a total of 15 events against each other during the 2018-19 season. Each team will receive one point for a win, the team with the most points at the end of the academic year will win the Kennedy Cup Challenge. UMass Lowell currently holds a 8-3 series lead after the River Hawk Hockey team earned a 2-0 shutout of the Minutemen on February 9th at the Tsongas Center. That win clinched the inaugural Kennedy Cup Challenge for the River Hawks for the 2018-19 season.
AMERICA EAST LEADERS: Dan Cozzi leads America East with 3.0 assists per game, while
Cory Highfield ranks sixth in helpers at 1.4 per contest and 2.0 goals per game. Highfield's 3.4 points per game is third best among America East players and Cozzi's 3.3 points per contest is fourth best.

Eric Flynn's (Bedford, N.H.) 1.6 caused turnovers per game is the sixth best total in the conference, while Hult's 1.4 caused turnovers per game ranks sixth among AE defenders. Grant Lardier's 8.00 GAA per game leads the conference among AE goalies.Â
