BURLINGTON, Vt. -- The UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team fell at No. 15 Vermont, 14-7 in America East play on Saturday afternoon at Virtue Field.
The River Hawks drop to 5-6 overall (2-2 AE), while Vermont improves to 10-1 overall (3-1 AE) after the victory.
Freshman
Harry Morrill (Hyde Park, Mass.), seniors
Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alta.) and
Jon Phillips (Delta, B.C.) each amassed two goals in the losing effort for the River Hawks.
UMass Lowell trailed the Catamounts, 10-4 at halftime.
Freshman goalie
Hunter Braun (Hartland, Mich.) made his ninth consecutive start with a 10-save effort, while UVM's Nick Washuta posted eight saves in his 10th victory of the season.
Senior
Will Puduski (Westford, Mass.) added three ground balls and three caused turnovers in the game against the 'Cats.
Ben French (4g,1a) and Liam Limoges (5g) each totaled a game-high five points for the Catamounts.
UMass Lowell returns to action on Tuesday, April 10th against Dartmouth College. Game time from Cushing Field Complex is 7:30 p.m.
