UMass Lowell Extends Partnership with Under Armour Through 2022

LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell Athletic Department has extended its partnership with Under Armour and All Sports Heroes through 2022, as announced by the University on Monday.
"In moving to Division I, we have always made the concerted effort to provide our student-athletes with the right tools to succeed and we believe that continuing our partnership with Under Armour does just that," said UMass Lowell Director of Athletics Dana Skinner. "We look forward to another five years of having our River Hawk teams competing with the most technologically advanced apparel and equipment we can provide for them."
Under Armour, the Baltimore-based originator of performance apparel, first became the official outfitter of UMass Lowell Athletics in 2013, in conjunction with the department's transition to NCAA Division I status. As part of the five-year extension agreement, the industry's global leader will continue to provide on-field and training gear for the River Hawks' 17 Division I programs, with track and field apparel being new to the partnership.
The agreement is aimed at providing more synergy between the University and Under Armour, and increasing brand awareness for both parties. It will create more marketing opportunities for Under Armour at UMass Lowell Athletics events, as well.
In accordance with the new extension, UMass Lowell will also remain partnered with Lowell-based UA vendor, All Sports Heroes.
