ALBANY, N.Y. --Â The UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team fell at No. 9 Albany, 21-11, in America East play on Saturday afternoon at John Fallon Field.Â
With the loss, the River Hawks drop to 2-8 overall (0-2 AE), while the Great Danes improve to 6-1 overall (2-0 AE).
UMass Lowell was paced offensively by juniors
Jon Phillips (Delta, B.C.) and
Sam Klingsporn (Aloha, Ore.), who each posted three goals apiece in the losing effort.Â
Nicholas Pino (North Andover, Mass.) scored his first two goals of the season and Phillips notched a team-high four points. Klingsporn registered a team-high nine shots for the River Hawks.Â
Connor Fields had a game-high nine points and eight goals in the win for Albany.Â
The River Hawks owned a 11-7 shot advantage in the fourth quarter against the Great Danes.Â
Sophomore
Grant Lardieri (Ada, Mich.) stopped 13 shots in his 10th start of the season, while Albany's J.D. Colarusso made six saves in the victory.
