River Hawks Look for Youth to Take Next Step in 2017

Video Preview

LOWELL, Mass. --
The UMass Lowell baseball program opens 2017 with a four-game series against UConn from February 17-19 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Head Coach Ken Harring is ready for his young team to show the strength and style of River Hawk baseball.

"We've talked as a team about being better than we have been in the last three years, we've won 20 games in two of the last three seasons and we think we can more than that," commented Harring. "As for conference play, if things go well we think we'll have the opportunity to compete in the upper echelon and that's the ultimate goal. We've done things the right way playing the young guys last year to get them experience for this opportunity, and next year they'll be juniors and that's following along with our plan."
