LOWELL, Mass. –
The UMass Lowell women's soccer team hits the road for a pair of matches this week, as the squad travels to Colorado for their furthest excursion of the season. The River Hawks will battle at Colorado College on Friday, September 16 at 5 p.m., before facing off against Air Force on Sunday, Sept. 18 for a 2 p.m. tilt.

Looking at UMass Lowell

The River Hawks, 2-2-2, are looking to get back into the win column after faltering, 1-0, against Central Connecticut on Sept. 8, in the team's lone contest last week. Junior Rachel Morrier (Plaistow, N.H.) paces the club in points and goals, tallying five and two, respectively, in addition to tacking on an assist. Seniors Taylor Chianese (Chepachet, R.I.) and Carolyn Ragon (Melrose, Mass.), along with sophomore Katelyn Vieira (Warwick, R.I.) have each added a goal apiece this season, while freshman Maddie Cheney (Bow, N.H.) owns one assist on the year. So far this season, time in the net has been split between junior goalkeeper Julia Schneider (Bridgewater, Mass.) and freshman Lauren Huff (Brandon, Fla.), who own a 1-2-1 and 1-0-1 record, respectively, including one blank sheet each.

Scouting Colorado College

The Tigers (3-3-0) are coming off a 1-1 week, as they prepare to host the River Hawks. Colorado College was held scoreless in a 2-0 battle at Cincinnati on Sept. 9, before bouncing back to snatch a 1-0 win against Utah Valley on Sept. 11. Clara Richter headlines the offense with four tallies for eight points, including a team-high three game-winners for the club. Goalkeeper Molly Hiniker owns the majority of the decisions in net, recording a 2-2-0 record, a 1.50 goals against average and a .700 so far this season.

Scouting Air Force
The Falcons enter Friday's contest at 2-2-1 so far in 2016, after splitting a pair of decisions last week. Air Force soared to a 2-0 win at Weber State on Sept. 11, prior to falling, 2-1, against Hawai'i on Sept. 13. The group will host Northern Arizona on Sept. 26, before hosting the River Hawks. Brooke Rittmann and Bree Bezdek lead the squad with two goals for four points a piece. Goalkeepers, Jennifer Hiddink and Alex Kahalley have shared time between the posts, recording a 1-0-1 and a 1-2-0 record, respectively.
