LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell baseball team plays its final two home contests of the 2016 campaign, hosting Bryant and Siena in a pair of mid-week tilts at LeLacheur Park.
River Hawk Rewind
The River Hawks fell in three games to the Hartford Hawks in the squad's America East finale from May 13-14 down in Connecticut. Three UMass Lowell players connected on their first career home runs on Saturday, as the River Hawks hit four long balls in the two games. In the 14-10 loss in game one,
Andy Savard (Tyngsboro, Mass.) hit a grand slam, and two innings later
Tyler Noe (Lynnfield, Mass.) blasted a three-run shot. In game two,
Chris Sharpe (Burlington, Mass.) recorded his first career shot, and Noe added his second homer of the day.Â
Leading the Flock
Consolmagno leads the team with a .281 average, 48 hits, six triples and 29 runs, while he sits in second with 22 RBI. In the middle of the order, Steve Passatempo (Medford, Mass.) powers the offense with 10 homers and 42 RBI, to lead the conference in both categories.
Ian Strom (Hopedale, Mass.) leads the team with seven doubles and 20 bases, trailed by Prada's 13 and Consolmagno's 11 as the team leads the America East with 67 steals. On the mound,

Scouting Bryant
The Bulldogs (39-10, 22-4 NEC) have won their last two contests and are 7-2 in the month of May, and 19-3 since April 15. Senior Robby Rinn is batting .378 with 74 hits , 20 doubles and 52 RBI. Matt Albanese paces the squad with 11 home runs and also has driven in 52 runs as three Bulldogs have recorded more than 40 RBI. On the mound, James Karinchak is 10-2 with a 2.36 ERA in 76.1 innings, with 86 strikeouts. Justin Snyder has picked up eight saves with 46 strikeouts in 38 innings. As a unti, Bryant is batting .318 and posts a 3.38 ERA.
Scouting Siena
Siena (20-29, 13-8 MAAC) had their four-game winning streak snapped by Iona in a 3-2 setback on May 13. Jordan Bishop leads the team with 62 hits in 189 at bats for a .328 average. His 35 RBI are a team high, as well, and his three homers are good for fourth. Fred Smart paces the offense with eight long balls, and has recorded 26 RBI. Kyano Cummings and Tommy Miller lead the staff with five wins, while Cummings has five saves, 79 strikeouts and a 3.50 to lead the staff in all three categories. As a team, the Saints are batting .263 have a 6.21 ERA.
Series History
Dating back to the DII days, the River Hawks leads the all-time series with the Bulldogs, 28-14, including a Bryant 7-6 win in the previous meeting in 2015. UMass Lowell and Siena have never faced each other in baseball.Â
