LOWELL, Mass. –
After having its four-game winning streak snapped, the UMass Lowell (15-16, 4-8) baseball team sets its sights on a busy week with back-to-back midweek games and conference series, with four games at home. 

River Hawk Recap
The River Hawks hit three home runs en route to an 11-6 win at Dartmouth, and knocked off Stony Brook, 2-1, in the first game of the weekend series to earn its first four-game winning streak since 2014. Ian Strom (Hopedale, Mass.) connected on his first career homer, while Steve Passatempo (Medford, Mass.) blasted a three-run shot. Joe Consolmagno (Worcester, Mass.) capped the afternoon with a two-run blast in the fifth. Oscar Marchena (Miami, Fla.) scored both runs in the 2-1 victory at Stony Brook, crossing the plate in the fourth and eighth, the deciding run caused by a Strom double. Marchena added a career-high four hits in the series finale on Long Island, going 4-for-5 with a RBI.

Leading the Flock
Consolmagno leads the team with a .275 average and 30 hits, while he sits in second with 14 RBI. In the middle of the order, Steve Passatempo (Medford, Mass.) powers the offense with seven homers and 28 RBI. Chris Sharpe (Burlington, Mass.) leads the team with five doubles and has driven in 13 RBI. Ian Strom (Hopedale, Mass.) has stolen 13 bases, trailed by Consolmagno's nine as the team is second in the league with 46 steals. On the mound, Kendall Pomeroy (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has four wins, while Andrew Ryan (Rochester, Mass.) has three wins to his name and leads the staff with a 2.01 ERA with 41 strikeouts. Brendan Long (Naples, Fla.) leads the team and conference with seven saves. UMass Lowell is batting .228 as a team, and posts a 3.41 ERA as a staff.

Scouting Brown
The Bears (11-18, 5-7 Ivy) is coming off a 2-0 win against Dartmouth on April 17, but has only won two of their last seven games. Josh Huntley has 28 hits in 83 at bats for a .337 average, and leads the squad with 10 doubles. Sam Grigo has team highs with five homers, 20 RBI and 30 hits, while scoring 16 runs. On the moud, Christian Taugner leads the way with a 5-1 record and three complete games. Austin French has recorded 45 strikeouts, while Dante Bosnic posts a 2.10 ERA. 

Scouting Connecticut
The Huskies (19-15, 5-3 American) take on Massachusetts before traveling to Lowell for the Wednesday night matchup. Willy Yahn is batting .320 with 47 hits in 147 at bats. Bobby Melley has connected on six home runs and 10 doubles with a team-high 34 RBI. Joe DeRoche-Duffin sits ontop the team with eighth homers and has 31 RBI. Leading the pitching staff is Anthony Kay's four wins and 61 strikeouts. Tim Cate is posting a 1.77 ERA in 40.2 innings.

Scouting UAlbany
The Great Danes (13-19, 3-6 AE) host Quinnipiac on April 19 before spending the weekend on the banks of the Merrimack. Matt Hinchy has a .351 average and driven in a team-high 25 RBI. Conno Powers leads the team with five home runs, while Kyle Sacks has crossed the plate 21 times. Ryan Stinar is 4-0 with a 2.08 ERA, while Stephen Woods has struck out 52 batters.

Series History
Brown is 4-1 against UMass Lowell all time following a 5-3 win in 2015. The Huskies also beat the River Hawks in 2015, 17-2, in the first ever matchup. UAlbany defeated UMass Lowell in the final matchup last season to build a 7-5 advantage.
