DURHAM, N.H. – Senior goaltender
Kevin Boyle (Manalapan, N.J.) notched his fifth shutout of the season and his ninth career to lead the No. 10 ranked UMass Lowell Hockey team to a 1-0 shutout at New Hampshire on Friday night at the Whittemore Center in Hockey East play.

With the win, the River Hawks improve to 12-4-4 overall (7-2-3 HEA) and the Wildcats fall to 8-8-4 overall and 2-2-4 in league play. UMass Lowell has now won seven straight contests against the Wildcats, four of which have come via shutout.

Sophomore forward
Ryan Collins (Newton, Mass.) scored his second goal of the season and his fourth career goal off a rebound in the crease from shot by
Dylan Zink (Madison, Wis.) from down low with just 2:44 left in regulation to seal the win the River Hawks.

Boyle notched 27 saves, as he was named the No. 1 Star of the Game, while Danny Tirone stopped 26 shots in the losing effort for the Wildcats. Boyle's eight career shutouts at UMass Lowell ties Cam McCormick (99-02) for third all-time in school history.

The teams went scoreless through the first two periods with UMass Lowell holding a 21-15 shot advantage through the first two frames.
