LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's soccer team plays the only home contest on campus this week, as the River Hawks continue their four-game homestand with a non-conference tilt against the Hartwick Hawks at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 18.
Looking at the River HawksUMass Lowell heads into the matchup at 3-3, after splitting two games last weekend.
Edward Venta-Yepes (Lowell, Mass.) scored his first career and game-winning goal in the 2-0 victory against Buffalo on Sept. 11, and
Jay Marchand (North Andover, Mass.) tallied his first goal of the season in a setback against Canisius (Sept. 13). Five players have each scored one goal for the River Hawks this season;
Wuilito Fernandes (Praia, Cape Verde) leads the team with four points (1g, 2a).
Austin Kroll has recorded three shutouts and a 1.17 goals against average.
Scouting HartwickThe Hawks come into the matchup riding a two-game winning streak with a 3-1-2 overall record. Hartwick has had each of its last four games go into double overtime, and sit at 2-0-2 in overtime games. The Hawks lone loss came in the season-opener to America East foe New Hampshire. Jamie O'Grady has carried the offense, scoring five of its nine goals, and leading the team with 10 points. Scott Wyatt is second on the squad with two goals, while Marc Berry and Marc Russell have each dished out two assists.

Series HistoryThe Hawks defeated UMass Lowell, 3-1, in their only meeting during the River Hawks' first Division I season in 2013.
