LOWELL, Mass.— The UMass Lowell women's soccer team is in the middle of its longest road swing, traveling to Bryant, Thursday, September 17 and Central Connecticut State on Sunday Sept. 20.

Looking at the River Hawks
UMass Lowell heads into its upcoming contest at 1-5, after splitting a pair of decisions last weekend. After losing to Lafayette, 1-0, on Sept. 11, the River Hawks bounced backed to defeat Wagner, 1-0, for their first win of the season on Sept. 13.  Shannon Groffie (Toms River, N.J.) put the River Hawks on the board in the ninth minute, her first tally of the season. Goalkeeper Julia Schneider (Bridgewater, Mass.) had four saves on the day, as her efforts in the net and a strong performance from the River Hawks backline helped to preserve the win. Rachel Morrier (Plaistow, N.H.) (3g, 0a) leads the offense with six points, while five River Hawks sit behind her with two points apiece. Schneider has made 21 saves and holds a 2.91 goals against average.

Scouting Bryant
The Bulldogs enter the matchup with a 1-6 record after coming off a pair of road losses to Massachusetts (3-0) and Hartford (5-0) this past weekend. Hannah Crofut, Haley Reddish, Alyssa Riccione and Sarah Schucker all have one goal this season. Reddish also leads the team with 13 shots with six on goal. Time in the net has been split between goalkeepers Rachel Brightman (1-1) and Kaylan Conrad (0-4). Brightman posts a .750 save percentage with 18 saves and a 2.34 goals against average, while Conrad posts a .618 save percentage with 21 saves and a 3.78 goals against average.

Scouting Central Connecticut State
The Blue Devils hold a 3-1-2 record, including a 1-1 double overtime decision against Boston University and a victory against Siena (1-0) in their last two outings.  Central Connecticut State will host Connecticut on Friday, Sept. 18 before they face off against the River Hawks. Freshman Emma Hubbard is leading the offense with three goals for six points on 13 shots. Adding to the Blue Devils offense is Brianne Casey, the squad's assist leader, tallying three this season. Goalkeeper Nicki Turley has posted a 3-1-1 record while notching two blank sheets this season.
