The River Hawks drop to 0-9 overall on the season and San Jose State evens its record to 4-4 overall.
"We did have some energy and were somewhat on game plan and then San Jose State came out and started pushing back a little bit, but we haven't been able to take that push and bounce back," said Head Coach
Resa Provanzano. "We can play great volleyball, we have great offensive weapons, but we need to be able to do that when things get a little tougher."
Freshman outside hitter
Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) notched a team-high six kills, while freshman
Erica Cappellino (Penfield, N.Y.) totaled five kills in the losing effort. Freshman
Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill) recorded a team-high seven digs leading the River Hawks defense.
UMass Lowell returns to action in the final day of the tournament with a 2 p.m. matchup with Holy Cross and a 7 p.m. tilt with Quinnipiac in the night match.
