SAAC Elects Officers for 2015-2016

LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has elected five new officers for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year.
Field hockey's Kelly Freitas (Manchester, N.H.) and Danae Rosario (Lowell, Mass.) of women's track and field were voted President and Vice President, respectively.
Jenna Freitas (Manchester, N.H.), also of field hockey, was named the SAAC Liaison. Men's track and field's Oluwatoni Onikeku (Fitchburg, Mass.) will take over the duties of the Financial Officer, and women's soccer's Thalia Petsis (Toronto, Ontario) was named the Media Officer.
SAAC is a student-athlete leadership team working to bring about positive change at the institutional and NCAA Division I Athletic level while providing an outlet for student-athletes to discuss issues specific to student-athlete life and development.Â
