The UMass Lowell baseball team will wrap up their 2015 season with a week of non-conference games at LeLacheur Park. The River Hawks will welcome local foe, Northeastern on Tuesday (7 p.m.) before their final series against LIU Brooklyn, which begins with a single game on Thursday (7 p.m.) before a doubleheader on Friday (1 p.m.).

SCHEDULE CHANGE: The River Hawks made a slight tweak to their schedule, bumping up the twin bill season finale on Friday to a 1 p.m. start from its original time, which was slated for 3 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: In their final series of America East action last weekend, the River Hawks were swept at the hands of the top-seeded Stony Brook Seawolves. SBU edged the home team 5-3 in the opener before a 9-3 victory in the nightcap. The River Hawks were unable to pull out a pull out a win for their eight seniors who were recognized pregame on senior day. The Seawolves jumped ahead with seven unanswered runs after three innings and held the River Hawk to two hits en route to a 9-0 decision.

SERIES AGAINST NORTHEASTERN: The teams battled in Brighton in late March, in what resulted in an 11-9 victory for the visiting River Hawks. The team put forth a balanced attacked as the lineup featured seven players with at least one RBI, including Zack Tower who belted a two-run, second inning home run. UMass Lowell scored the last three runs to pull out a gritty win for freshman Tim Fallon notched his first collegiate win.

SERIES AGAINST LIU BROOKLYN: This is the first meeting between the River Hawks and Blackbirds.

TWO YEARS RUNNING: The River Hawks finished their second consecutive season as a member of the America East with a conference record of 10-10. The team finished third in the conference last year, which is where they currently find themselves seeded. Their final position in the AE standings will be determined by Maine and Hartford who each have eight wins. The Black Bears (8-9 AE) travel to Albany while the Hawks (8-9 AE) host the second-seeded UMBC Retrievers.

SENIORS FINALE: The River Hawks eight seniors, Jimmy Ricoy, Kelly Rooney, Danny Mendick, Matthew Sanchez, Luke Reynolds, Geoff DeGroot, Christian Lavoie and Kevin Veilleux will be making their final appearances in Red and Blue this week.
