Lowell, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team heads out on the road for their final America East game of the season against UMBC on Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by a nonconference tilt on Tuesday against Dartmouth.

River Hawk Recap
In their final home game of the season, the River Hawks lost a high-scoring affair to No. 14/18 Stony Brook 20-9 last Friday at Cushing Field Complex. Martin Winter (Lake Oswego, Ore.) registered his first three goals of the season for a hat trick while Nick Zakucia (Johns Creek, Ga.) also scored his first collegiate goal. Stony Brook's Brody Eastwood tallied ten goals in the contest en route to winning America East Co-Player of the Week.

Oh, Canada
Much of the River Hawks offensive production this season has come from players of Canadian descent. The team's three leading scorers, Jon Phillips (Delta, B.C.), Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alberta) and Cory Highfield (Toronto, Ontario) all hail from Canada.

Two for the Price of One
Sophomores Giles Ober and Alex Desmarais have both seen time as goalkeeper over the last two weeks. Ober leads the team with 93 saves while Desmarais has recorded 49 of his own.

Wrapping Up Conference Season
The River Hawks game against UMBC is their final conference game in their inaugural season in the America East conference. UMass Lowell will also be making their furthest trip of the season down to the Baltimore area, approximately 414 miles.

Scouting UMBC
Like the River Hawks, the Retrievers are still in search for their first conference victory of 2015 as they sit at 0-4 in America East with a 4-7 record overall. UMBC is coming off an 11-10 loss at home to Vermont last Saturday, the second consecutive one-goal loss to a conference opponent. Juniors Nate Lewnes and Pat Young are the co-leaders with 26 points apiece with Lewnes the leading goal-scorer with 25 tallies.

Head Coach Ed Stephenson on UMBC
"We're excited for our final conference game of the season and our first plane trip as well. UMBC is a talented team that will pose plenty of challenges for our squad."

Scouting Dartmouth
The Big Green are coming off a tight 7-5 victory at NJIT last Tuesday to snap a three-game losing streak. Overall, Dartmouth has faced five ranked teams on the season and sit with a 4-6 record and a 1-3 mark in the Ivy League. Sophomore Wiley Osborne leads the Big Green with 26 points (9g, 17a) while freshman Jack Corzelius paces the team with 16 goals.

Head Coach Ed Stephenson on Dartmouth
"Dartmouth are a battle-tested team that should provide a formidable late-season test for our squad. The Ivy League is full of stiff competition and Dartmouth is no exception."
