River Hawk ReviewThe River Hawks fell to New Hampshire 22-6, on April 1, with all six goals scored by different players.
Jesse Jay (Amherst, N.H.) led the offense with one goal and an assist.
Gabrielle Zorkers (Quincy, Mass.) added her first career tally.
Jumping for JayJay leads the River Hawks with 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points. She has recorded at least one point in 10 games, and has six multi-point games.
Protecting the NestCourtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt.) leads the America East and is third nationally with 119 saves. Her 9.92 saves per game also lead the conference, and rank fifth in the nation. She also has team-highs in ground balls (48) and caused turnovers (19). Barrett is also averaging 4.00 ground balls per game to lead the America East and all Division I players.
Beginning of a New EraIn its first year of competition, UMass Lowell's roster consists of 21 freshmen, two juniors and one sophomore.
Scouting UMBCThe Retrievers (7-6, 2-1) have lost three of their last four games, since a three-game winning streak from March 11-21. In their last America East game, they defeated New Hampshire 15-6. Abby Wilson leads the team with 24 goals and 33 points. Her nine assists are second to Sam Nolan's 13. Kelsey Major has made 11 starts in net and carries a .440 save percentage and an 8.90 goals against average.
