River Hawk ReviewThe River Hawks dropped 17-7 and 15-6 decisions against Colorado and at Binghamton, respectively.
Emily Wright (Avon, Conn.) recorded a hat-trick against the Buffaloes, and
Micaela Sanborn (Chelmsford, Mass.) repeated the feat during the clash with the Bearcats.
Erin Hatch (Billerica, Mass.) notched her first career goal in the Colorado game.
Not Fooling AroundWright and Sanborn both scored four goals last week, each recording a hat-trick and setting career-highs. Wright sits second on the team with 11 goals, and Sanborn is tied for fourth with seven.
Jumping for JayJesse Jay (Amherst, Mass.) leads the River Hawks with 12 goals and six assists for 18 points. She has recorded at least one point in nine games, and has five multi-point games.
Protecting the NestCourtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt.) leads the America East and is third nationally with 115 saves. Her 10.45 saves per game also lead the conference, and rank fourth in the nation. She also has team-highs in ground balls (46) and caused turnovers (19). Barrett is also averaging 4.18 ground balls per game to lead the America East.
Beginning of a New EraIn its first year of competition, UMass Lowell's roster consists of 21 freshmen, two juniors and one sophomore.
Scouting New HampshireThe Wildcats (3-7, 0-2) have lost their last four games, including conference games against Stony Brook and UAlbany. Kayleigh Laura McHoul has 15 goals and 15 assists for 30 points to lead the team, while Kayleigh Hinkle has a team-high 18 goals. Kate Clancy has made all 10 starts in net, recording 74 saves. She carries a 11.22 goals against average and a .404 save percentage.
