SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
The River Hawks are coming off a stretch of four games in three days where they posted a record of 1-3 and tout an overall mark of 3-8. The team split a doubleheader with Fairleigh Dickinson, picking up a 6-4 win in the frontend before a 5-1 loss in the nightcap on Sunday. The club also dropped a pair of 6-5 decisions at Hofstra and Fordham on Monday and Tuesday. After opening the season with 11 on the road the team plays its first "home" game against Yale before hosting UAlbany this weekend at sites not named LeLacheur Park. The River Hawks will host the Bulldogs at Fiondella Field on the campus of the University of Hartford and will entertain the Great Danes at Bill Beck Field at the University of Rhode Island.

SEASON TWO
Following the game against Yale, the River Hawks will host UAlbany in their America East Conference opener. In their first season in the AE, the club posted a record of 10-10 which was good for third in the standings and would have placed them in the conference tournament had they been eligible. The River Hawks are not eligible for post-season play until the 2018 season

LAST TIME AGAINST THE BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs hold a slight 1-0 advantage after taking the first meeting in the series over the River Hawks last year. UMass Lowell pitchers Raz Bracha and Garrett Cole combined to throw a no-hitter but the River Hawks lost a 1-0 ballgame in West Haven, Conn. The team picked up six hits in a losing effort.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE GREAT DANES
The River Hawks dropped two of a three game series in Albany last season at Varsity Field. The Great Danes rallied with a three-run ninth to take the series opener 8-7 before the River Hawks bounced back with an 11-4 victory in the nightcap. In the rubber game, Danny Mendick hit a two RBI single down the line to tie the game at two before UAlbany scored a run in the eighth inning to take a 3-2 contest.

TOUCHIN' EM All
Junior Joe Consolmagno touched all four bags while rounding the bases after hitting the River Hawks first home run of the year on Tuesday. Consolmagno lined a 3-run shot over the right field fence at Houlihan Park for his first career homer in what was his 100th career game.

LEADERS IN STEALS
The River Hawks lead the America East in stolen bases and have been successful on 26 of their 30 (86.7%) attempts. The team is led by Joe Consolmagno, Matthew Sanchez and Ian Strom who each have five.

RIVER HAWKS IN THE AE
UMass Lowell ranks among the conference leaders in several categories. The team leads the America East in on base percentage (.356) and stolen bases (26) while ranking second in batting average (.270), sacrifice bunts (5) and sacrifice flies (8).
