BOSTON – 94 UMass Lowell student-athletes were named to the America East Conference Fall Honor Roll, joining nearly two-thirds of the conference, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
To be eligible student-athletes must earn a semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher in the fall semester. 694 of the conference's student-athletes were honored, and more than half (400) of those student-athletes achieved a 3.50 GPA and earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status.
The River Hawks had the second-highest total, trailing only New Hampshire (104). The UMass Lowell field hockey team led the conference with 66.7 percent (14-of-21) of its members earning the accolades.
48 of the 94 River Hawk student-athletes had GPAs of 3.50 or higher and were recognized with the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
